Find Your School

Find your zoned school.

• Find your zoned school online or call the Family Information Center at 615-259- INFO (4636).

Apply for School Options.

• If families want to apply for a school other than their zoned school, families can apply for optional schools through the MNPS School Options Application. Families that apply through the MNPS School Options Application, will still need to register their child for kindergarten.

Gather All Required Documents

• Record of Birth (birth certificate, passport, visa, I-94): Children must turn five years old on or before August 15, 2024 for the 2024-25 school year.
• Tennessee Immunization Record: An official TN Immunization Certificate from your child’s medical provider or any Metro Public Health Clinic.
• Proof of a Physical: Physical examination must have been performed within one year of enrollment.
• Proof of Davidson County Residency: Current (30 days or less) utility or telephone bill, lease or homeowner policy in the parent/guardian name.
• Parent/Guardian Photo ID: Parent/Guardian must be present if registering in person.

Register for Kindergarten

This section has instructions for:

• Current MNPS Pre-K Families
• New MNPS Families

Current MNPS Pre-K Families

Applies to students that attended Pre-K during school year.

• Families can register through the Campus Portal.
• Families must be registered in the portal and able to sign-in to their Parent Portal account.
• In the Campus Parent Portal, go to the More section and select the Online Registration option.
• Select the Rising Kindergarten Existing Student Registration option and school year you are registering for.
• Your household information will auto populate. Review and confirm all information in the fields.
• Upload a recent Tennessee Immunization Record.
• Click submit once you have reviewed and completed the form.

Registration Steps for New MNPS Families

• Families can use the Online Registration Portal and upload the required documents to register for kindergarten. 
• Select the school year you are registering for.

For assistance, contact the Family Information Center (615) 259-INFO or contact your nearest Enrollment Center to make an appointment if you cannot register online.
