Registration opens January 29, 2024
All incoming kindergarten students must register for school, even if they attended a Metro Nashville Public School Pre-K program or if they are using the school options process. All families can register online or make an appointment at an enrollment center.
 
Kindergarten is an exciting experience and serves as a vital foundation for your child's future.   • Good News! Registration for kindergarten is just a few clicks away. Log in or create your account on Campus Family Portal.
  • Just review your child's existing documents, upload anything missing and submit for us to review!
Is Your Student New to MNPS?
Are You An English-Learning Family?
  • If another language besides English is spoken at home and assistance is needed, families can call the Office of English Learners at (615) 259-8608 or email the English Learners Office
Is Your Student Starting Pre-K?
  • Pre-K applications open  March 1, 2024. Apply as soon as you can to get a preferred seat.

Required Documents

Please gather the required documents listed below when registering your child for kindergarten.kids on slide

  • Record of Birth
    • Record of birth includes birth certificate, passport, visa or I-94.
    • Children must turn 5 years old on or before August 15, 2024, for the 2024-25 school year.
  • Tennessee Immunization Record
    • An official TN Immunization Certificate from your child's medical provider or any Metro Public Health Clinic. 
  • Proof of a Physical
    • Physical examination must have been performed within one year of enrollment. 
  • Proof of Davidson County Residency
    • Current (30 days or less) utility or telephone bill, lease or homeowner policy in the parent/guardian name. 
  • Parent/Guardian Photo ID
    • Parent/Guardian must be present if registering in person.
