The MNPS Pre-K program is designed to engage and inspire Nashville's youngest learners through play. Each of our classrooms is led by passionate and skilled teachers who are helping shape confident, self-regulated learners.

We still are accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year.
Important Dates for 2026-2027
- The Pre-K application for 2026-2027 opens at 10 a.m. March 2
- Families that apply by March 31 (3:30 p.m.) will be included in the initial application selection process
- Pre-K Applications will still be accepted after March 31
- Selection results will be posted by April 20 for families who apply by March 31
- The deadline to accept a seat is May 4 who apply by March 31
- School Mint will begin making additional pulls daily, beginning May 5, to fill remaining vacancies

What's Next After Applying?
After submitting the Pre-K application, you will receive instructions on the next steps. If your child has been selected, please follow the instructions and accept your child's seat by the stated deadline.
Is Your Child on a Waitlist?
If your child has been placed on the waitlist, you will receive an email or text message when a space becomes available.

Tips and Reminders When Applying
- It may take up to a day for your child's MNPS Student ID number to connect to the Pre-K application platform.
- Remember to select the correct school year for which you are applying; there may be two options available.
- Families are encouraged to apply after the initial application period. Spots will be filled as vacancies occur.
- You may choose up to seven schools on your Pre-K application.
- Families who need help uploading documents can visit the Family Information Center and apply in person.
- After accepting your child's seat, you will receive an email or text with instructions to complete the Pre-K acceptance packet.
